Yesterday I took the IELTS test for my study plan abroad in 2013. I was not well-prepared because my job kept me busy in recent months. At first, I told myself that I could regard the test as a trial. I still have many chances to do the test in the future (but have to pay each time). However, when the test was approaching, I began to feel nervous for the cost of the test was not cheap at all (5000 NTD). In fact, I don't want to do it all over again.
You know what? I think I screwed it. Without practicing, I was not familiar enough with the test. Although I guess my performance in the reading and speaking parts was acceptable, the listening test for me was totally a tragedy. Not to mention I missed some important words to answer the questions, I even changed one of my correct answers to a wrong one at the last minute of the test. Sigh..... Luckily my speaking question in part 2 was to describe a character in childbooks. As a fan of the new TV series "Once upon a Time," I was able to talk about the story of Snow White fluently. The examiner, a white female of middle age, told me that Snow White is her favorite character. I recommended her to watch the TV series, and she said she will google it.
At the moment, I am not really sure what to study abroad. I intended to study translating and interpreting before. However, now I think it might be too exhausting to me. There are some other choices on my mind: learning beauty therapy in London, health policy in London, or pastry in Paris. And there may be more in the future: marketing? hospitality and tourism? I have no idea. Or should I just return to my original intention I made when I was young to spend a whole year travel around the world?
I am waiting for the key.
