I didn't go anywhere for the countdown on New Year's Eve. Instead, I went to bed early because I had to work on Sunday. However, I woke up at midnight as the sound of the fireworks came from the stadium nearby. I knew it's 2012.
Even though I used go to Taipei 101 to celebrate the New Year with my friends and for the marvelous fireworks of the building and final countdown when I was a college student, I haven't done that since I moved back to Taichung for work. Maybe I am too old to stay up late.
I achieved something I was proud of on New Year's Eve. I completed the half marathon successfully in Taichung Highway 4 National Marathon Running Race(台中生活圈4號線通車全國馬拉松賽). I was glad that my right knee IT band syndrome was relieved by a period of rest. (Thanks to the cold weather, I didn't run so often recently.) The race was held on a highway near my place. It is a precious experience to run on a highway, and that's one reason I participated in the race. My record was on the average: 2 hours and 12 minutes. Hope next time I do the half marathon I can complete it within 2 hours.
I wish everyone has a wonderful 2012. I wish I hit the jackpot this year. I wish I find my better half this year. I wish I keep running to have a nicer body this year. I wish my family, my friends, and I are all happy this year.
