Recently I taught my nephew what time difference is while we chatted with my fiance Sam via Line.
"He is in London, and London is far. So when it is evening here in Taiwan, it is afternoon there." I told my nephew the truth.
"So the afternoon here is morning there?" my nephew asked.
"Exactly." I replied.
"Does he sleep at night as we do?" he threw another question to me.
"Of course, we all sleep at night, but when it's the night time there. It is the morning here." I smiled.
Everyday I try to wake up as early as I can (but usually I cannot) so I am able to chat with you before you go to bed since I don't want you to stay up too late. And every night you try your best to say good night and good morning to me. Sometimes you were too tired and fell asleep, then you suddenly woke up and sent me a message, " Baby, sorry I fell asleep." It's okay my love. If it is the other way about, you will say "It's fine." to me as well.
I showed you how sunny and scorching Taiwan can be. You showed me the cloudy London sky. I displayed the food I had with my friends. You presented me your favorite Italian restaurant in Soho.
How lucky we are to live in the same world, this big big world, and find each other through such a long distance. Even though we have to be so far apart temporarily, the sun we share is the same, the moon we share is the same, the stars we share are the same.
The love we share is the same.
