Viva L'Italia - Heavenly Amalfi Coast

After a long long drive from Chianti, passing by Rome and Naples and through the mountains, we were finally approaching the Amalfi Coast, the place I wanted to visit most in Italy. It is chosen as 1 of  National Geography's 50 Places of a Lifetime. (Other places in Italy including Tuscany, Venice, and Vatican City) From Italian countrysides to the sea, the whole scenes changed a lot. But there was one thing in common - they were all amazing. (However, I wish the parking fee here could become cheaper.)

Ravello:
An author in Taiwan regarded Ravello as the place on earth that is closest to Paradise. And it was set Set "closer to the sky than the sea," according to André Gide, the Nobel Literature Prize winning author from France. Unlike other places in Italy, there was not so many tourists in Ravello. The silence in the town made it seem more exclusive. The Ravello Festival is also a popular music activity in the summertime to enjoy symphony. (I know this because some sotres here sells postcard that shows a symphony performs by the sea.)

Amalfi:
Sharing the same name as the Amalfi Coast, the town Amalfi has the most sight-seers among the three towns we visited along the coast. My cousins couldn't help running into the sea from the Marina Grande Beach. So I followed them to take off my T-shirt to walk on the beach. There were colorful lines of beach umbrellas. It is a pity that the beach is pebbly, not sandy, or I would like to lie down having a suntan. The stores sells many lemon products, especially the limoncello that is too strong to me. I bought one limoncello here to one of my friends who likes to drink.

Positano:
This town enclave in the hills by the coast is my most favorite town in Italy (maybe in the world). It is known as the pearl of the Amalfi Coast. What a beautiful and proper name to the town. Positano, as well as Venice, surprised me that how creative and intelligent ancient Italians were to built cities and towns in such precipitous environments. And the result is stunning. At first, we didn't plan to stop here for long, yet my cousin Minmin she said that it would be cool to have dinner here. Therefore, we decided to find a restaurant here instead of eating pizza in Naples, our original plan. Thanks to her, we eventually found a restaurant with outdoor seats facing the Mediterranean Sea. Positano was quiet as if it was a real pearl lost in the valley. Some small boats sailed tranquilly on the ocean. And.....the wind was strong, lol, but we still insisted on eating outside. The view outweighed any inconvenience. I truly hope that one day I am able to return to Positano with my love~

Positano, I must be in a dream
